Immigrants' conflict in assimilation

Introduction

Foreign nationals in the United States encounter many obstructions and conflicts while they struggle to absorb the new culture from outdated culture. That they struggle in two different languages, two different civilizations, and two different people parts of the world. For some immigrants, it is easy to make an assimilation of new culture. However , for a few immigrants, it is difficult to assimilate to the fresh society mainly because they currently used to with the traditional home culture. The standard home traditions such as food, custom, ideals, norms are difficult to get rid of for some migrants which make these people difficult to reside in the new world. First Era Immigrants

Since first immigrants' generation, father and mother usually have trouble with absorbing fresh languages, obtaining jobs and better existence for people in the new society. A large number of first immigrants' parents are busy in their fresh society; they may have lack of time and communicate with their children. Some immigrants' parents might not have time to instruct their own traditional culture with their children. In back home country, children study their own traditional culture from their families associates, relatives, very own community and society. Inside the new society, parents are often busy using their financial needs, working 3 or 4 jobs. " The kid's development of a great identify broadly different from those of their father and mother intensifies intergenerational conflicts” (Tohidi, 1993, s. 156). Children are more often quickly assimilating with new tradition through their surrounding and experience. Tohidi also pointed out that publishing to media allows children to master faster the new culture than their parents. For some immigrants who will be educated and upper middle section and central classes within their own region work with low wages and positions.
