Imprisoned

In the composition Holy Sonnet XIV, Ruben Donne produces about the several imprisonments of life. In the poem he can saying that he has gone down for the temptations of Gods enemy, the devil, and he is requesting God to break the contain the devil has on him. David portrays that he is trapped and sure by the evils of the satan, and he wishes to become " divorced”(11) from the devil to be again imprisoned by love of God, either way he knows he " never will probably be free”(13). The point John is definitely making with this poem is that he adores God with out longer would like to live together with the sins and imprisonment with the devil, but instead be " enthralled”(13) by God.

Ruben first echoes of Goodness as a " three-personed God”(1), meaning Our god is the Dad, the Child, and the Holy Spirit. Over the poem Steve is at a fallen condition, where he offers fallen very hard it would be almost impossible for him to by itself break the bond that he has with the satan, to be righteous and serve God. David is asking God to assist him in breaking the bond, asking to " Batter”(1) his center for Our god, breaking the unholy bond, the engagement that he features with the satan. John desires to be the God-loving person this individual knows he could be. John requirements God's strong ways to help to make him a new person, today some call it up a " born-again believer”, and Ruben so badly wants God to " cause me to feel new”(4). David feels like he have been taken over by the devil. Ruben is asking his circumstance in this poem, to Our god as to why Goodness should help him, guard him, save him, and make him new. This kind of poem is much like Johns prayer, pleading to God his reasoning in why Our god should support him, seeing that God is usually his " viceroy”(7) that he should want to defend him. David is captured as if he could be held captive, and is weakened and false to Our god, but as well still voluntarily and joyfully loves Goodness. John uses the word " betrothed”(10) to emphasise that he has been linked, or engaged to the satan in his actions and wanted to be " divorced”(11). Ruben is saying...
