The Enlightenment was an perceptive movement in 18th 100 years Europe. Many brilliant thinkers contributed to the philosophical movements of this time. Voltaire, Diderot, and Rousseau were the most optimistic thinkers in the Enlightenment.

Francois-Marie Arouet, commonly known as Voltaire, was the finest figure from the Enlightenment. Voltaire wrote, ”Philosophic Letters inside the English” which will displayed his admiration of England's freedom and especially all their religious tolerance. In his performs he portrayed an optimistic perspective of flexibility. Although Voltaire was the most well known optimist from the Enlightenment, Diderot contributed an essential factor to the era.

Voltaire wanted liberty for everyone, Diderot wrote an encyclopedia pertaining to the good of men and women, and Rousseau strove for a new kind of govt to make the people happy.
